Bugs are everywhere. Tiny moths sitting on the bathroom wall; houseflies buzzing around the ceiling fan; ants practically everywhere you look. Even in winter they’re resilient enough to be found. Here in British Columbia, cedar bugs (better known by their alternative name, stink bugs) hide out in our wood shed, revived by the warmth of the house when they’re brought inside.
Bees and butterflies in spring; mosquitoes and mantises in summer; dragonflies and cedar bugs in autumn; drowsy flies in winter. Insects are around all months of the year, all seasons – their resiliency is inspiring.
