Now it’s actually starting to feel like spring. Snow is rapidly melting, relaying layers of cold ice into the spongy ground. Plump, stratified buds hang on branches, ready to burst. Dark-eyed juncos and robins fill the mornings and evenings with persistent song, telling all that spring has arrived.
As the white coat of winter is shed off the forests, mountains, and prairies and the lighter jacket of spring is laid over in pastel hues, there’s a sense of lightness in the air. Spring is the time of adventure and exploration, testing the waters and braving the outdoors from our hibernation in winter.

What an amazing collection of spring photos! I love the fiddleheads!
Wowo! Thanks for capturing the beauty of transitioning into spring!
I love #5- the reflection of cattails on the ice-free lake, the symmetry and inverted colors. Brilliant!
Marshall voted for #6, he enjoys the way you captured the sun rays

Very Dreamy lighting/focus.
YERP! Dats the one for me!
It’s a toss up for me between number 5 and 6. I love that reflection photo but the miniature forest looks cool too. I’ll roll a d20 to decide… came up with 8 which is even so I vote for #6.
Great shots, Hazel. Sorry if this ends up being a double post.

I still contend the first unnumbered photo captures Nature in it’s finest, however, my vote is for #4 and #5 as equal contenders.

It was hard to choose one, I love number 2 as well, but my vote is for number 6.
