Time passes so quickly that it’s difficult to believe we’re already almost at May. Spring is quickly merging into the liminal stage of summer, where warm nights and even warmer days become nostalgic with past memories.
As it warms up and rain graces the land with liquid-y grace, plants and fungal life begin to appear. Arrow-leaf balsam root, glacier lilies, arnica, stinging nettle, fern fronds – all start pushing from the soil in a spring-induced frenzy. Moss and lichens bloom in plump, vibrant colours, awakened from winter’s cold sleep.

Number sixteen is my favorite!
It is so simple but captures the colors of the lake so well!
You are making it increasingly difficult to choose a favorite when you post 16 choices! Perhaps I can choose my least favorite, which is still incredibly difficult. After scanning and zooming in and out to gauge which scene draws me in the most is the only way I can get the biggest reaction to a sense of emotion. They all trigger a connection and in several trials, numbers 6, 9, 14, and 16 all had similar significant reactions, but I will have to vote for number 8, as my previous experience with the high resolution of this photo, still amazes me beyond words!
