When I was a wee babe, I went to New Brunswick with my family. Unfortunately, I don’t have any recollection of the trip, and for years the farthest east I remembered being in Canada was Niagara Falls, Ontario. This summer, however, I had the chance to go with my grandfather to Nova Scotia’s capital city, Halifax. (I went to Vancouver in late July and early August this summer as well, meaning I truly went coast to coast in less than a month!)
I went for a week total and I’ve only been back in British Columbia for little over a week now. The trip went by in a blur and was such an adventure. I’m very grateful to my grandfather for taking me along.
Notable ventures during the trip included visiting Peggy’s Cove, the city of Halifax itself, and Cape Breton, the latter of which also comprised of exploring the Cabot Trail, Meat Cove, and White Point. I especially loved the wilder parts of Nova Scotia; its windswept trees, rolling hills, and rocky cliffs were stunning sights set against the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of St. Lawerence.

Thank you Hazel, these photos will trigger many memories of our adventures. The photo of your shadow on the granite rock, actually has the letters of your first name within the cracks and shadow. The H is obvious while the other letters are somewhat obscure. Was that planned?
