I know it’s late spring now, and the landscapes where I live are showing the promise of warmth and new growth again. But I wanted to share some photos from a dusky afternoon walk I went on in late January with my family and dog just to show the duality of the land where I live. It’s amazing how much can change in a matter of a few months – from frost crystals to fiery flowers.
I’ll be publishing a post on hiking at Summit Creek with my aunt soon, which will show more recent spring photos from my adventure. Stay tuned :)

I am curious what your thoughts are on the sinuous pattern in the mud under the water of Photo 6.
Thanks for your comment! That pattern was from Tim undulating his feet on the ice, pretending to skate. I thought it made for an interesting photo. The pattern showed up well since the ice surface was so dusty.
