I’ve been exploring the outdoors a lot lately and, of course, taking my camera along for the ride. Lately I’ve been experimenting more with how I take my photos. I’ve been playing around with composition, lighting, angles, and the settings of my camera. I strive to capture images that are mysterious, whimsical, magical, and more than a little strange. The natural world offers so many hidden gems that too many people look past; therefore I hope my photos snare these enigmas and present them in their natural, sublime form accordingly. It’s one of my goals to make my audience scratch their heads and wonder, perplexed, what on earth they’re looking at.
These particular images are from a recent hike I went on with my aunt and a dog she was taking care of at the time, Apollo. Immediately below are some photos my aunt took of me during our adventure. I like to share the pictures I took as well as how I managed to get them.

Here’s how my photos turned out:

We live in a world full of wonder and some people with the ability to see it ❤️
Well done Hazel.

Worthy of a feature in National Geographic. Well done Hazel!
Thank you!
Nice pics, I like how Sher captured the ‘behind-the-scenes’ process. And I love “Onward!”, you have a great talent for capturing such awesome and intricate moments.

Thank you for commenting here, Uncle Paul! I appreciate your well wishes.
Hazel, your photographs are a great capture of the rites of spring with the lichens, mosses, mushrooms and the beauty that the gift of life; water, allows to pour forth. Favourite photo: ‘onward’. Keep up the amazing work
Thank you :)
