Rainy Days

Posted on July 3, 2025June 10, 2025

Adventuring outside after a rain with my camera is one of my favourite things to do. I’ve found and admired raindrops in the most miniscule places: balanced on a strand of spider web, tucked into folds and crevices on leaves, nestled between moss stalks, and dappling mushroom caps. When I’m not on the ground with my face buried in moss patches, I’m usually appreciating the low clouds and petrichor-smelling air around me.

Here is a collection of rainy-day photos from early November last year and this spring. See if you can smell the fresh air and soft showers!

Thank you Hazel. These scenes are refreshing and merit a revisit if we need an escape from the heat over the summer.

I love your up-close pictures of the moss! Especially the first 2 photos. Ah, fall and spring, the best seasons in my opinion.
