Corn Creek Falls

Posted on August 14, 2025August 13, 2025

Another lovely hike with my auntie! This particular adventure was to a beautiful waterfall nestled in West Creston. Since the behind-the-scenes photos of me were appreciated in the last post I wrote about hiking with her, I decided to include some in this post as well. We encountered a friendly little spring azure butterfly, endearing orange mushrooms, a cool cave, fantastic moss, and what I believe was a Columbia spotted frog.

The photos my aunt took of me:

A little friend <3 This spring azure butterfly would not leave my side for half of our hike back.

The photos I took:

This cedar tree grew under a cliff and adjusted itself to keep growing!
I’m not sure what species of moss this is, but it reminds me of olives with pimentos.
Spot the spider?

Excellent photography Hazel and Sherry..your images remind me of how important it is to bathe ourselves in nature, as often as we can.

Maybe call it pimento moss? We’ll have to visit Corn Creek falls some day.
